Shanhua Temple, constructed in 1934, is a temple for Confucianist, Taoist, and Buddhist worship. The deities include the major ones from each of the religions such as Kuan Kung and Confucius. The design of the building is of a traditional Chinese temple style, with grand and colorful exterior that stands solemnly on a spacious, peacefully-looking green land. A wall over 200 meters, magnificently and delicately is carved in ancient Chinese imperial design. Also adding more cultural touch to the temple are numerous stelae carved with inscriptions of renowned calligraphers displayed in the temple.
