St. Etheldreda's Chapel, Ely Cathedral
England

Located at the east end of Ely Catherdral, this chapel is dedicated to St. Etheldreda, a Saxon Princess from East Anglia, who founded an abbey church on the site of the current Norman building in 673. It achieved cathedral status in 1109.

The monastery was suppressed in 1539 during which her shrine, along with many carvings and stained glass windows, was destroyed. The cathedral was re-founded three years later.
