Stoer Head, Sutherland
Scotland

Stoer Head is the westernmost point of the remote Stoer peninsula in North West Scotland, at the northern entrance to The Minch. The wild coastline is guarded by one of nearly 200 Scottish lighthouses operated by the Northern Lighthouse Board.

The Stoer Head light was built in 1870, one of many designed and constructed by successive members of the Stevenson family of engineers between 1797 and 1938.
