Stone circle No.1, Machrie Moor, Arran
Scotland

Machrie Moor, at the west of the Isle of Arran, features a number of closely grouped neolithic and early Bronze Age stone circles, standing stones, burial cairns and cists, as well as hut circles and an extensive field system. The so-called Circle No.1 is formed from six granite boulders and five sandstone slabs, arranged alternately.
