日观峰：
日观峰位于玉皇顶东南，古称介丘岩，因观日出而闻名。相传在峰巅西可望秦，南可望越，故称秦观峰、越观峰。
峰西侧为唐宋封禅故址。唐高宗、唐玄宗、宋真宗曾在此设坛祭天。《岱史》载，明洪武初山民于山中得玉匣，内有玉简16片，刻宋真宗祀泰山后土之文。明成化十八年（1482年），峰侧被雨水冲出玉简。清乾隆十二年（1747年）十二月有人于峰侧凿石，得玉匣2个，闭封玉简金绳，有宋真宗登封玉册，共17简，尺寸与《封禅仪》所载相同，巡抚阿里衮将其献于朝廷。
