The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in Boston
Boston

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a 15 acre curvilinear urban park which winds through the city of Boston from the North End all the way down to Chinatown.  Here we see a portion of the park in the North End.  I encountered the Greenway with its fountains and grassy areas while walking the Freedom Trail from Copp's Hill Burying Ground and the Old North Church to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.  Urban parks are a wonderful idea and they are a delightful contrast to the surrounding brick and concrete of the city.
