Trim Castle - Inside Main Hall - Ireland
Ireland

The Trim Castle is the remains of the largest Anglo-Norman castle of Ireland and was build between 1172 and 1224, finished  after several modifications and continued rebuildings. This fortress was the seat of  Norman Administration for the Liberty of Meath and after invasion it was used as the centre of Meath Administration during the meddle ages. In the 16th and 17th centuries Trim Castle had declined in importance and had used as military site, and the castle was deteriorated by the time.

Trim Castle is noted for the  part it played in the Mel Gibson's film Braveheart.
