De Walfridusbrug ("Walfridus-brige") (named after a holy Walfridus from the church of the small town Bedum) was built in 2003 when the railroadtrack from Groningen to Sauwerd was doubled. The bridge has a headway of 9,5 meters and a passage width of 54 meters. There is also a seperate bike-track next to the railway on the bridge.
