Wallace Monument Hall of Heroes
Scotland

The Hall of Heroes, situated on the second level within the Wallace Monument when you climb the first 135 of the 246 steps, has 1 bronze bust and 15 marble busts sculptures of Scottish heroes that have been donated over the years.

The sculptures are of the following Scottish Heroes:

Adam Smith

Allan Ramsay

David Livingstone

George Buchanan

Hugh Miller

James Watt

John Knox

King Robert the Bruce

Robert Burns

Robert Tannahill

Sir David Brewser

Sir Walter Scott

Thomas Carlyle

Thomas Chalmers

William Murdoch

William Ewart Gladstone

This room also contains The Wallace Sword that measure 5ft 4ins and weighs approximately 2.9 Kilos.

The Wallace Monument was built between 1861 and 1869 to commemorate the Scottish Hero, William Wallace.
