Wellington is the capital of New Zealand – and it is the world’s southernmost capital of a sovereign state. The nick name is Windy Wellington. Wellington is also an important hotspot of tourism, art and culture. The Te Ngākau Civic Square is the result of major reconstructions, finished in 1992. The sculpture is a design by Neil Dawson: A silver sphere (inside golden) from ferns.
