السور الكبير: الذي يحيط بمدينة تيماء القديمة من الجهات الغربية و الجنوبية والشرقية عدا الجهة الشمالية التي تشغلها الأرض الملحية المعروفة (السبخة) ويمتد السور أكثر من 10 كم، وهو مشيد من الحجارة واللبن والطين، ويبلغ ارتفاعه حالياً في بعض الأجزاء أكثر من عشرة أمتار ويقل ارتفاعه في بعض الأجزاء حتى يصل إلى المتر الواحد تقريباً وعرض جداره يتراوح ما بين المتر و المترين، ويعود تاريخ بنائه غالى القرن السادس قبل الميلاد. The Tyma Wall: One of the most distinguished ruins inside the present Tayma is the ancient wall which surrounded the old Tyma from eastern, southern and western sides except the northern side where there is a dry lake or Sabkha. The wall extends up to 10km and was built with stones, mud and clay. It is over 10 meter high, and at some places the minimum height reached to about 1 meter. The width of the wall varies between one meter to two meters. It was built in 6th.century BC.
