Zodiac Killer: Blue Rock Springs Park
The Bay Area

WARNING!: Description below may be disturbing to some readers.

Standing at the parking lot to the Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo, California.  On July 4, 1969 Darlene Ferrin & Michael Mageau drove to this spot at night & parked here.  Shortly afterwards another vehicle parked behind them & a man got out carrying a flashlight & 9mm luger before approaching them & shooting them five times.  Ferrin died from the injuries as the killer drove off into town, finding a payphone to call police & report his involvement in the shooting as well as the murders six months earlier along Lake Herman Road.  As later known, the Zodiac was a serial killer from the late 1960s & 1970s known for committing several murders in the Bay Area while sending ciphers & taunting letters to the San Francisco Chronicle.  His identity remains unknown to this day despite many possible suspects & he may perhaps be responsible for several other unsolved murders during other years.

Lots of ammenities, tours and hotels can be found all around the area.San Francisco is the cultural and financial center of the Bay Area, and has the second highest population density of any major city in North America after New York City. It is also a major tourist destination, and transport and accommodation is plentiful, ranging from luxury hotels to cheap accommodation. San Jose is the largest city in terms of population, land area, and industrial development, and is the center of Silicon Valley, a well-known high technology region. Oakland is a major manufacturing and distribution center, rail terminus/hub, and has the fourth largest container shipping port in the United States.Largely because of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, the Bay Area presently ranks second only to the much larger New York City region in number of Fortune 500 company headquarters (April 2010 Fortune Magazine).  source: wikipedia
