Castle Drogo, Entrance, Dartmoor, Devon, England
England

Castle Drogo is known as the last castle to be built in England.  Owned now by the National Trust it was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Julius Drewe.  It was his wealth from the founding of the Home and Colonial Stores that enabled him to to create the ancestral home he had dreamed of but with all the modern conveniences of the 20th century!  This view of the entrance to the castle and the chapel is taken from the Western side of the estate.
