Factory in my hometown.With an installed power of 779 MW, the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant generates, on average, one third of the energy in the country, and in periods of crisis, it can cover  more than one half of the national demand. The average annual electricity production ranges from 3,500 and 3,800 GWh. The average annual production of thermal energy used for district heating in the Šaleška dolina valley amounts to 400-450 GWh.
