Under the plan and promotion of Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Dafa Industrial Park, a large-scale of comprehensive industrial zone was established in Daliao District, Kaohsiung. With a total development area of 391 hectares, most businesses stationed in the park conduct the industries about dismantling, metal and chemical. The park became very famous during 1980s around Taiwan, especially the industry of scrap metal in dismantling. Now there is a more variety of industries stationed in the industrial park, including chemical plants, metal factories, plastics factories, electronics factories, food factories, furniture factories, etc., showing a vibrant industrial development to the park.
