On the ridgeline connecting Mt. Emily & Fruit Mountain in the Red Buttes Wilderness, California.  This was taken on a high cornice w/ overlooks of Rattlesnake Mountain & Goff Butte to the south as well as Grayback, Whisky, Lake (Arnold) Peaks on the Oregon side to the north.  Distant views of Mt. McLoughlin & the Casade Range.  There were some large recent black bear tracks within the snow going up the cornice as well as the ridgeline.  Knedyl was able to stay dry on the south-facing side of the ridge but when I stopped for this panorama, he snuggled on my pack.  I had a late start so I didn't quite get over to Mt. Emily, about a mile to the west.
