The Condamine Market, located on Place d'Armes at the foot of the Rock, is an integral part of the Monegasque heritage. Built on November 18, 1880, under the mandate of the Mayor, Count F. Gastaldi, renovated in 1992 and completely renovated in 2012.
The New Market of Condamine, opened on June 15, 2012 by Prince Albert and Princess Charlène, has preserved a Provencal, festive and warm spirit.
Open daily throughout the year, the Condamine Market has around twenty shops in its center and, in the Market Square, numerous horticulturists, florists and small local producers. It's a southern market whose sunny spirit is accentuated by an atrium of warm, sweet tones and terracotta slabs, interspersed with small tiles decorated with Provencal designs.
The Condamine Market represents the popular heart of the Principality, where the Monegasque population likes to gather to taste Monegasque specialties: socca, barbagiuans, pissaladière, fougasse... family environment.
