At 1560m altitude Mt No. 3 provides a perfect view South towards the ski resort of Mt Buller.
The summit survived the ravages of recent bushfires and the ancient snow gums are beautiful to behold, but this scene shows how close the fire got to the summit.
A snow grass plain provides the perfect spot to camp or a picnic.
Snowbound in winter, in summer 4wd tracks lead to this less frquented part of the Mt Stirling area.
