El buque escuela portugués N.R.P. Sagres sale de Avilés en cuyo puerto ha permanecido en jornadas de puertas abiertas entre el 2 y 5 de Agosto.

La Universidad de Oviedo, promotora de la Universidad Itinerante de la Mar, y el Ayuntamiento de Avilés han realizado en cooperación el festival de la mar (AUfemar), que ha contado con la presencia de los grandes buques escuela peninsulares: NRP Sagres y NTM Creoula de Portugal y Juan Sebastián de Elcano y Saltillo de España.
