Grâce à son climat de fraîcheur des hauts, la culture maraîchère et les vergers sont nombreux à Mont Vert. D'ailleurs, chaque première semaine d'octobre met en lumière le travail des cultivateurs de fraise grâce à la fameuse fête de la fraise au domaine Vidot, un vaste espace aménagé pour les pique-niques.
Mais Mont vert peut également revêtir un aspect plus urbain, particulièrement à son pied. Il n'en conserve pas moins son coté paisible accueillant les saint-pierrois aspirant à une vie plus contemplative.
