Taiwan Power Company- Singda Power Station
Taiwan
Singda Power Station, built in 1978 and with a total area of 135 hectares, is the major power plant in the southern Taiwan and the second largest on the island. There are four sets of coal-fired machineries and five combined cycle gas turbines that sustain the operations of the plant. It generates approximately fourteen percent (14%) of the island's power output. Functioning as a power plant, its surroundings have been transformed into a multi-purpose recreational area with green zone and facilities such as sport field, stony trails, and a playground. It has been open to the public since 2003.
