Close to Minnipa are a few interesting granite rock formations such as Tcharkulda Rock with picnic facilities. Minnipa is a small town servicing surrounding grain farms and tourists travelling along National Highway 1 or the nearby Gawler Ranges National Park. The town is 250 kilometres north from Port Lincoln and 180 kilometres east from Ceduna inmidst a vast wheat belt.
