The Coastal Steamer is still the life line for many people along the coast of Norway. 12 ships travel from Bergen to Kirkenes (1 each day) and back, carrying goods and people - tourists and locals. Every day at (approx) 1PM it arrives in Bodø, and every day at 3PM it leaves for the Lofoten Islands on it's way to the north. 1st of April 2012 was a great weather, no wind, fresh snow on the ground and the sun bringing out the brightest colors of display.
