The Castelvecchio is a castle in Verona build next to the river Adige. The inner courtyard is surrounded by a brick wall and several towers. The castle was finished 1376 and is build in a gothic architectual style. The entrance to the inner courtyard is free, a paid ticket necessary for entering the castle itself and the museum.
