جبة: يقع حوض جبة على مسافة تتراوح ما بين 60 و 80 كلم داخل النفود وهي بقعة شاسعة من الصحاري الرملية تغطي منطقة كبيرة تمتد عبر 300 كلم من الشمال الى الجنوب و 400 كلم من الشرق الى الغرب ، وتكثر الرسوم و النقوش الصخرية على أحجار هذه المنطقة، ويوجد حول حائل عدد من الجبال التي تحمل نقوشاً و رسوماً ثمودية يرجح أن تاريخها يعود الى القرن الثالث او الرابع قبل الميلاد ومن امثال هذه الجبال : ياطب ، جانين، الشملي ، سراء. وقد كشفت المسوحات والأبحاث الأثرية عن موقع مدينة اسلامية بجبة لا تقل أهمية عن أي موقع يعود لنفس الفترة. Jubbah: Jubbah basin is situated at about 60 to 80 km in the middle of the Nafud desert. It is a vast sandy desert which extends to about 300 km. from north to south and about 400 km. from west to east. It is the richest rock art region in the kingdom where petroglyphs are found on almost each rock. Petroglyphs are also located on the hills and mountains around Hail such Yatib, Janine, ash-Shamli and Sarra which also contain hundreds of Thamudic inscriptions attributed to the third and fourth century BC. The survey teams have also discovered a large number of early Islamic site at Jubbah suggest a continuous and long occupation of the site from Prehistoric until the recent past.
