Anglo Boer War Memorial view from the East
South Africa

A view from the East of the Anglo Boer War memorial. This memorial was erected in 1910 after the war and contains names of British soldiers who died during the war. It was divisive in the sense that it was only commemorating the fallen of eh British Empire and has been neglected for many years by the municipality. The locals used to call it the "Khaki Monument" - Khaki was a word used in Reference to the khaki coloured uniforms of the British soldiers.
