Ansbach is located on the historic "Burgenstraße" and bordered by the wooded nature park "Frankenhöhe". A walk through the old town center is worthwhile thanks to its wealth of historical sights. The "Karlsplatz", for example, was planned to move out of French religious refugees at the end of the 17th century. But the plans were only carried out in the 18th century. The ensemble has been preserved in its unity until today. These include the Catholic parish church of St. Ludwig, the municipal library, the city archives and the cultural center.
