Bamberg Chapel Altenburg Castle 2014
Franconie

Altenburg Castle stands on a mountain peak on the edge of the Steigerwald height and is considered a landmark of Bamberg. Interesting is, among other things, the small chapel in the gatehouse (1834). The room has an old vault, which was extended to the choir room to the south. The keystone of this arch shows the knight at the Bamberg city arms. The panorama was made in the gatehouse just before the entrance to the chapel.
