A 50' aerial view overlooking the summit of Bear Basin Butte (elev. 5,292') near Gasquet, California. The peak is easily accessible via a forest service road & has sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean to the west (w/ a small marine layer) & the Preston Peak/Bear Mountain area to the west. The fire lookout has adorned the summit for many decades, though it has served as a rental cabin for guests since 1997. Pierson Cabin is also located at the end of the gravel road.
