This temple was designed by the architect Manuel Conde Fidalgo. The foundation stone was laid in January 1947, and was inaugurated in May 13th, 1962.

The bell tower has eight bells, that interpret several Marian compositions, from which stands out the "Ave de Fátima", played along with the hours.
