Liu Pok is a village at the border of HK and China. In 1951 the Frontier Closed Area was created to prevent illegal immigrants from entering Hong Kong, non-residents can not enter the restricted area. With the rapid development of the Mainland economy and chinese people living standards improve, no one sneaked into HK, so that the HK government determined to lifting of the ban in 2013 and allow the public to vist the border. For historical reasons, HK side has frozen more than half century of development, while the Shenzhen 30 years continuous construction, high-rise buildings going up. Thus, resulting in sharp contrast both sides.
