Cape Wrath - Lighthouse and Cliff, View 1
Scotland
The ferry at the Kyle of Durness provides access to Cape Wrath from the eaSt. Cape Wrath is the most north-westerly point on the British mainland. Already the Vikings have used the cape as a landmark for navigation. There is a lighthouse built in 1828 and a Lloyd’s of London signal station built in the 19th century. The station is by now abandoned. So is the entire area of Cape Wrath. There is some tourisms – a small bus shuttle on difficult roads and some army activity.
