View from the top of Carr Butte near the Lost River east of Newell, California (elev. 5,482'). Named after the pioneer of the area in the late 1800s, Jesse D. Carr, the summit has views spanning west towards Mt. Shasta, Medicine Lake Caldera, Horse Mountain, The Peninsula, as well as Gearhart Mountain, Warner Mountains, Clear Lake Reservoir, & even distant Lassen Peak.
