Cishan Station
Taiwan

Cishan Station was built in 1910 with Victorian and Gothic styles. Its main building materials include stone, red brick, and timber. It has plastered walls and metal tile roof.

The waiting room was made to look like a Gothic steeple with an octagonal cone resembling a fairytale castle. Its triangular roof, gables and internal frame bear the marks of traditional Japanese architecture. The overall construction is unique and pleasant to see.

Besides having a new concept in local architecture, the Cishan Station had also helped local economic development, while at the same time added a new concept and new look to local construction.
