Commemorating The Apollo 11 Moon Landing, Dedham, England
England
The end of this church pew is a dedicated to man's first moon landing on the 20th July 1969. It shows two inlaid medallions one picturing the three astronauts (Neil A. Armstrong - commander, Michael Collins - command module pilot and Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. - lunar module pilot), and the other showing the lunar lander, Eagle. Between them there is a quotation from Psalm 8, "The Moon and the Stars which thou hast ordained. What is man, that thou art mindful of him and the son of man that thou visitest him?".
