Dinkelsbuehl - Sankt Georg Inside view
Franconie

The Catholic parish church of St. Georg in Dinkelsbuehl is a late Gothic church built in the years 1448-1499, designed by Nicklaus Eseler Eleven pairs of piers carry a varied cross-ribbed vault. High altar with figure-rich panel, probably from a workshop in Bamberg. In the south aisle Sebastian Altar (1520) and Trinity Altar (around 1500); in the northern nave of the cross altar (1470) and the neo-Gothic altar Josef. Baptismal font, pulpit and especially the sacrament house are elaborate stone carvings from the time it was built.
