El Capitan, alongside Half Dome this is one of the most impressive rocks in Yosemite Valley. When entereing Yosemite this is one of the first parking spots with a view of this great rock face. Around 3000ft tall from base to top, this is a climber's dream. Some climbers take 2 days to scale the face, sleeping overnight suspended in a hammock, others have done it in a day.
