Gordale Scar gorge and waterfall in the Yorkshire Dales. VR
England

This image has been re-mastered for Virtual Reality using a suitable viewer.

The 50 metre gorge has been eroded over the millenia by the torrents of water that came down here. Visitors have been coming here for over 200 years. The poet Thomas Grey 'shuddered' at the sight of the huge cliffs. William and Dorothy Wordsworth spent several hours there. Modern visitors can scramble up the side of the water to Gordale Beck.
