Le grand bazar d’Istanbul est l’un des plus grands du monde avec ses 65 rues intérieurs auxquelles on accède par 21 portes et ses 3600 boutiques.
Sa partie la plus ancienne date de 1455 et a été construit en bois. Il a ensuite subit ensuite plusieurs modifications dont sa restauration suite à un tremblement en 1894 et par plusieurs incendies.
Comme tous les bazars, il est organisé en quartiers artisanaux.

Istanbul (historically Byzantium and later Constantinople; see the other names of Istanbul) is the largest city of Turkey and the third largest city in the world.
