Hill road, Stenness, Orkney
Scotland

This is one of the hill roads running up from Stenness to the peat hill. In times gone by (and not that far in the past, I can remember tham) all the farms got their fuel by cutting peats. The road this panoramas was taken on is typical of the type of road up the hill. This road was ideal for agricultural vehicles and before them, horse drawn carts.
