Heatherlie Quarry was a sandstone quarry which yielded large amounts of stone for public buildings in Stawell and Melbourne, examples are Parliament House and Town Hall.
The Heatherlie Quarry opened in the 1870s and closed in 1893 after the Public Works contract expired, it was briefly reopened by a private firm but closed again in 1938.
