Horseshoe Falls, Llangollen
Wales

Completed in 1808 by the renowned civil engineer Thomas Telford, the Horseshoe Falls is a man-made weir designed to draw water from the River Dee into the Llangollen canal. The 140 metre-long structure gets its name from its distinctive shape.
