Lohr is a town in Lower Franconia Main Spessart district. The city lies on the River Main about halfway between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg. The Church of St. Michael stands in the middle of the church square. The house of God forms together with the surrounding buildings in the early Middle Ages a fortified church, the nucleus of the city.
