The Niaosong Wetland Park has a total area of about three hectares. The park has three large pools and two small pools, which were originally the settling basins for the water supply company. The wetland was rebuilt and inaugurated on September 24, 2000, becoming the first wetland-theme park with an educational objective. With water flowing through the pools, the wetland also has a water cleaning function. The Park has recorded up to 93 species of birds, more than 250 kinds of insects, and more than 340 kinds of plants; thus it is not only a great outdoor classroom for teaching natural science, but also a place for people to spend their leisure time.
