The city Ochsenfurt is located in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg. The historic town has a medieval fortification with numerous towers and gates. The Old Bridge spans the River Main at km 271.18 and connects the old town of Ochsenfurt with Kleinochsenfurt. Originally the 270 meter long bridge had thirteen pillars. Today there are still four pillars on the city side and six at the northern end.
