Inside the generator building. The metal window frames are still in the building on the floor. This building housed the main generator along with the fuel tanks and air compressors for the mine.
Located in the Round Mountain Mining district, in a small canyon high in the Toquima Range, the Senator Mine, also known as the Red Bird Mine, was a Mercury mine that produced 137 flasks of mercury through 1965. The camp was completely abandoned in 1968.
