Former Siaolin Pingpu Tribe Cultural Hall is located within Siaolin Elementary School of Jiasian District, as the first Pingpu Tribe cultural hall in Taiwan, displaying exhibits ranging from farming tools, hunting appliances, daily necessities and Taejo faith. However, the hall was buried along with Siaolin Elementary School when Typhoon Morakot pummeled Taiwan in 2009. The newly erected Siaolin Pingpu Tribe Cultural Hall is located in the Pingpu Tribe culture park of Wulipu redevelopment areas. The two-story building covers a permanent exhibition space of approximately 200 square feet and special exhibition space of about 30 square feet. Its exterior appearance shows Pingpu Tribe’s earthen terrace characteristics, as well as the use of materials such as grass and Ma Bamboo, which fully demonstrates the characteristics of the Siraya traditional houses.
