Sinbo Bridge
Taiwan

Sinbo Bridge is the main route that communicates Sinfa to Baolai, and connects to important sites of hot springs in Kaohsiung City like Sinfa, Bulao, and Baolai. The former Sinbo Bridge was destroyed by mudslides when Typhoon Morakot pummeled Taiwan in 2009. The city government then rebuilt it on its original site. Factors such as the water level, the terrain and possible landslides were all taken into consideration during the construction process. The bridge was lengthened from 40 meters to 80 meters and widened from 4.6 meters to 12 meters. The new Sinbo Bridge opened to traffic in 2011. It has two bidirectional lanes and a sidewalk. Its color and shape harmonize with its surrounding landscape.
