Cave Rock is located along the east shore of Lake Tahoe north of Zephyr Cove, Nevada.  A short hike up leads to a fantastic wide view of the lake, here w/ fresh snow & water of deep cyan color.  The rock itself is named for small grottos facing the lake which are visible from the boat launch below.  Highway 50 passes directly underneath through a small tunnel, from the top it is nearby a vertical drop to the road below.
