Temple by the Canal

The pink glow of sunset hangs over the newly planted rice field. The big banyan tree shades the small temple dedicated to Sri Dewi the Goddess of rice. While the water gurgles through the well-maintained irrigation canal, tourists and their villas may come and go, but the the rice culture, the basic true reality of Balinese culture can be found just off the beaten path.
